Nice is the Riviera's grand old lady: the Promenade des Anglais along the Baie des Anges, Vieux Nice's ochre lanes and socca counters, Castle Hill's viewpoint, the Cours Saleya flower market, and the Matisse and Chagall museums.
At roughly €130 a day, the trip runs about €390 excluding flights. May–June and September–October are warm without the August crush.

The corniche drive to Monaco's casino and old town, then Èze's perched village and Jardin Exotique — the cliff-edge garden with views over both countries. The bus covers both in one day.
