Singapore in 48 hours is a scheduling problem with one solution: outdoor before 11am and after 4pm, air-con middays, and hawker dinners once the breeze returns. Day one belongs to Marina Bay and the Gardens; day two belongs to the hawker centers and one heritage neighborhood.
At about S$180 a day, the weekend runs around S$360 excluding flights — hotels are the premium; hawker meals at S$4–8 are the equalizer.

Day 2: Hawkers & Heritage
Maxwell's chicken rice for lunch, Chinatown's temples and shophouses, Kampong Glam's Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane murals, and Old Airport Road's char kway teow for the farewell dinner.
