Rio covers the icons — Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, Copacabana and Ipanema. Iguazu is the falls' thunder. The Amazon starts at Manaus; the Pantanal's jaguar spotting peaks August–October. Paraty and Ilha Grande are the colonial-and-island adds.

The Season Split
