The canal city, where Casco Antiguo meets a tropical skyline. Panama City is the only capital in the world with a rainforest inside its city limits and a canal at its doorstep. The Miraflores Locks show the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal at work, the Casco Antiguo holds the UNESCO-listed colonial quarter rebuilt after Henry Morgan's 1671 raid, and the Frank Gehry-designed Biomuseo tells the story of the isthmus at the canal's Pacific entrance. The Amador Causeway links three former canal-defence islands out into the bay.
