A green central-European capital on the Ljubljanica. Ljubljana is a compact capital built around a bend of the Ljubljanica river, with the hilltop castle, the Triple Bridge and the market colonnade of Jože Plečnik forming one of the most complete early-20th-century urban designs in Europe. The city's central market runs along the river, the Zmajski Most of 1901 carries the city's dragon emblem, and Tivoli Park stretches west from the centre to the wooded slopes of Rožnik.
